Your dog is the direct result of how you raise it. How you do or don’t train them
Humans are at the top of the chain. We attend 12 years of primary education and in many cases secondary education, master and doctoral levels. We earn certifications and certificates that require years of study.. Yet we spend six week in a puppy class attending once a week, occasionally attend a novice level obedience class and rarely go through advanced obedience with our dogs but expect our dogs to make good decisions. Not to eat the carpet, not to counter surf, to walk on a loose leash, not to bark at other dogs on walks and to always come when called.
Getting a puppy requires the full commitment to a puppy. It takes a minimum of a year consistently attending obedience classes to have a dog that isn’t going to jump on your guests, is going to come when called and acts sane on a leash.
Your dog is the direct result of how you raise it. How you do or don’t train them.
If your dog is engaging in bad behavior you need to keep training. You need to provide mental and physical stimulation beyond the back yard.
Topping this off by asking strangers on social media who also can’t get their dog to come when called for advice on raising their dog.
